Boon Boona’s founder and CEO, Efrem Fesaha, is a man deeply rooted in cause, community, and humility. His passion for bridging cultures is evident in his commitment to introducing Seattle to the unique coffee traditions of East Africa.

Inspired by his travels and family ties in Eritrea, Efrem founded Boon Boona with a mission to share the rich coffee heritage of the region. By sourcing all of its beans from Africa, Boon Boona provides economic opportunities for coffee producers, cooperatives, exporters, and importers from Ethiopia, Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, and other nations.

More than just a coffee shop, Boon Boona is a gathering place where people can connect over a cup of expertly brewed coffee. Efrem’s vision is to create a space that celebrates both the cultural significance of coffee and its power to foster community.
